NatureBureau’s marine ecology consultants provide advice on the development of marine conservation policy and the management and conservation of marine ecosystems and species in the UK and overseas. Recent projects have included Developing Nature Conservation Objectives for the Irish Sea, acting as rapporteur for a specialist meeting on the development of marine and coastal ecological corridors, and producing a plan of action for shark conservation and management in UK waters. Marine environmental capacity building has included the development of the Shark Trust and European Elasmobranch Association and organising and leading much of the international work of the IUCN Shark Specialist Group.
