Pisces Publications
Pisces Publications, the imprint of NatureBureau, is a specialist publisher of natural history and conservation books. Since its establishment in 1982 it has published a number of UK county wildlife atlases including the acclaimed Birds of Oxfordshire, The Flora of Dorset and The Butterflies of Hampshire. On an international level, other conservation subjects include The Desert Ecology of Abu Dhabi and Important Bird Areas in Africa and associated islands.
Each project, be it for an individual enthusiast or a major international organisation, is given the same attention to detail throughout the production process, from receipt of first transcripts to delivery of bound copies: budgetary and time-constraints are kept in mind without any compromise on design or quality. Raw scientific information is transformed into stunningly designed tables; graphs and maps are attractively formatted so that information is easily accessible; high quality wildlife illustrations and/or photography are sourced as necessary.
Pisces Publications’ comprehensive range of publishing and editorial services follow the Institute of Publishing standards, and include:
- research/origination/writing
- technical editing/sub-editing/proof reading
- publishing and distribution
- journal subscription handling.
